There will be a meet and greet with our new Superintendent, Dr. Perrigan, at HHS from 5:00-5:45 on Tuesday, August 8th. Hope to see you there!
As we start a new school year, Dr. Perrigan wants to provide opportunities for parents to engage with him to ask questions and share ideas. He will be available at the School Board Office on August 7th, at Holston High School on August 8th, at Patrick Henry High School on August 10th and at John Battle High School on August 15th. All Meet & Greets will be from 5:00-5:45 pm. Drop in as your schedule allows.

What an amazing way to start the 23-24 year! To top it off, School Board and Board of Supervisors announced that both bodies would be considering and voting next week on a proposal to increase contracted WCPS employee salaries by an average of 3%! We are so thankful to Board Members for their support of our schools. @washcoSuper #washcoconvo23 #TheWashingtonWay

Thank you to Dairy Queen at Exit 19 for providing a sweet summer treat for our Summer School students.

Our summer school students had a blast at the Hands On Discovery Center! Exploring, learning, and having fun together!

S. Vanhook and A. Blevins from the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center made a visit to Rhea Valley Elementary School on Tuesday. The students greatly enjoyed the Code-n-Go activity that they did with them.

A group of our summer school students harnessed the power of the sun and made the tastiest s'mores ever with their own solar ovens!
